Specialist dental referral business in Solihull sold for the first time

Central England Specialist Referral Centre in Solihull, West Midlands, has been sold for the first time since its launch in 2003.
Established by prosthodontics specialist, Dr Neil Wilson, the state-of-the-art business has evolved since its opening to accommodate all specialist disciplines, with the practice home to an orthodontist, endodontist, periodontist, and oral surgeon.
Located in the Shirley are of Solihull, it comprises five spacious surgeries and benefits from more than 215 referring practices and 650 referring dentists.
Following a confidential sales process with Steve O’Connor at Christie & Co, Dr Wilson has now entered into a long-term partnership with DeNovo Dental Partners, becoming a minority shareholder in the DeNovo Group and continuing to lead the practice with full clinical and operational autonomy.
The partnership provides Central England Specialist Referral Centre with strategic, operational, and financial support to enable its next phase of growth, while allowing Dr Wilson to remain actively involved in the day-to-day running and future development of the practice.
Both parties share a commitment to expanding the centre’s specialist services, strengthening its referral network, and building on its reputation for collaborative, high-quality patient care.
Kristen Pope, chief integration, partnership and communication officer at DeNovo Dental Partners, said: “Central England Specialist Referral Centre immediately stood out to us as a practice built on clinical excellence, genuine collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to patient care.
“What made the opportunity truly compelling, however, was the principal dentist, Neil Wilson.
“His leadership, specialist expertise, and his deeply-held values align perfectly with the culture we are building at DeNovo Dental Partners.
“We knew from the very first conversation that Neil exemplified the kind of partner we want in our group; someone who combines outstanding clinical capability with empathy, ownership, and a future-focused mindset.”
O’Connor added: “It is not every day that we sell such a unique dental business, offering a full suite of specialisms, and it was vital that we found the right partner for Neil to work with in the future.
“After a highly-confidential process, DeNovo emerged as the preferred partner, and the sale concluded in late November.”
Central England Specialist Referral Centre was sold for an undisclosed price.
