Dentist group Smile Rooms has purchased 1 Smile Dental Clinic in Glasgow, a four-surgery, predominantly private dental practice with a patient base of around 5,000.
The practice has been owned by brothers Dr Ryan Shum and Dr Dean Shum since 2021, who modernised it and expanded its cosmetic and implant offerings. They sold in order to focus on family commitments but will continue to work in a clinical capacity.
Smile Rooms is an established dental group in England, with the acquisition being its first practice in Scotland.

Our immediate plans are to support the existing team, invest further in the practice where appropriate, and continue building on the excellent foundations established by Ryan and Dean.
