Dr Fayaz Ladak has purchased Chapeltown Dental Care in Sheffield, a five-surgery mixed-income practice operating from a substantial converted property.
The practice has developed a stable and profitable income base, supported by a long-standing NHS contract and Dental Foundation Training grant.
Since 2002, the business had been owned in partnership by Dr Elizabeth Hughes-Docherty, who became sole principal in 2018. It was brought to market as part of Hughes-Docherty’s retirement planning, although she will remain with the practice as an associate for the time being.
Hughes-Docherty said: After many rewarding years at Chapeltown, I felt the time was right to look towards the next chapter and entrust the practice to new ownership. It has been incredibly fulfilling to see the practice grow and evolve, expanding both our patient base and the range of services we offer while maintaining a strong focus on quality patient care.
“My hope for the future is that the practice continues to thrive, building on its strong reputation within the local community and providing outstanding dental care for many years to come. I would like to thank our loyal patients and dedicated team for their support throughout my time at the practice."

Business property advisor Christie & Co facilitated the sale.

This level of demand demonstrates the continued strength of the dental market and the appetite that exists for profitable, well-established mixed practices.
"The practice's strong NHS income and profitability, combined with opportunities for further private growth, made it a particularly attractive acquisition opportunity.”
Chapeltown Dental Care was sold for an undisclosed price.
