St John’s Road Dental Practice near Liverpool, which was established over 30 years ago, has been purchased by first-time buyer, Zafer Ali.

The two-surgery NHS practice is located on a busy shopping parade within the borough of Sefton, eight miles from Liverpool city centre.

It has been owned by Catherine and Dr Lai Leung Andy Cheung since 1991, but they decided to sell to pursue retirement.

Following a confidential sales process with Cathy Murphy at Christie & Co, it has been purchased by Ali, who has a clear vision for the practice’s growth and plans to expand services by introducing general private work and specialist clinic time alongside the existing NHS provision.

He said: “The practice has been a longstanding family dental practice with an excellent reputation.

“It was fairly advertised by Christie & Co, so it was an easy decision for me.

“My plan for the practice is expansion and modernisation and I plan to introduce specialist services and accept referrals from local dental practices.”

Murphy added: “It has been a privilege to assist with the sale of this exceptional NHS practice.

“Known for its family-focused approach and generations of loyal, longstanding patients, the practice has been a trusted part of the community for over 30 years.

“The sellers have carefully nurtured the practice’s outstanding reputation for quality care and patient trust and have now passed the legacy to the new owner, who shares their values and commitment to excellence.

“Given the location and reputation of the site, buyer engagement was high, with multiple competitive offers received.”

St John’s Road Dental Practice was sold for an undisclosed price.
