New owner for health centre NHS dental practice in Glasgow

Pollok Health Centre Dental Practice in Glasgow has been sold to Ahmed Shaikh, an independent multi-site operator.

The two-surgery NHS practice has over 5,000 registered patients and is located in a large housing estate on the south-western side of Glasgow, within Pollok Health Centre at Pollok Civic Realm, and adjacent to the Silverburn Shopping Centre.

Exiting owner, Steven Connelly, joined the practice as an associate in 1999, followed by Michael McLaughlin in 2003.

They decided to sell the business to exit from practice ownership.

Following a confidential sales process with Kevin Strain at Christie & Co, the practice has been purchased by Shaikh.

Strain said: “The strong level of interest and swift completion reflect the continued demand we’re seeing across Glasgow for quality dental practices with stable patient bases.”

Pollok Health Centre Dental Practice was sold for an undisclosed price.
